Put simply, it’s constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity over broad time and modal domains.
Strength, speed, stamina, flexibility, balance, co-ordination, power, cardiovascular endurance, agility and accuracy are the 10 physical skills around which we design our strength and conditioning programmes and workouts. We believe that any short fall in these skills could mean a deterioration of health or wellness.
Who knows what life will throw at you? We believe in exercising and preparing your body for everyday life and everyday scenarios.
We use functional movements, challenging you to your own level of intensity while keeping it varied. It is the mix of functional movement, variation and intensity that delivers quick, visual, tangible results. We don’t leave out any facet of physical fitness as we believe all are just as important.
CrossFit stands out amongst its peers for being able to provide evidence to back its claims. We will help you record your progress every time you train. This is achieved by performing a workout either against the clock, or by doing as many rounds as possible inside a time limit, or by moving loads over distance and recording the data each time.
In the words of coach Glassman, CrossFit Founder
“We believe that meaningful statements about safety, efficacy, and efficiency, the three most important and interdependent facets of any fitness program, can be supported only by measurable, observable, repeatable facts; i.e., data. We call this approach “evidence-based fitness. CrossFit is empirically driven, clinically tested, and community developed.”Download more information about CrossFit here: What is CrossFit?
